These terms explain how you may use LosslessCut and what to expect from stream-copy video trimming.

1. Acceptance

These terms apply when you access the LosslessCut website or use the macOS app. By using the product, you agree to these terms.

2. What the app does

LosslessCut lets you open local videos, preview supported formats, choose a trim range, and export a segment with FFmpeg stream copy.

Stream copy does not re-encode audio or video. Cuts depend on keyframes, so the actual start may be earlier than selected and the output may be longer than the chosen range. Frame-accurate cuts are not guaranteed.

3. Your files and responsibilities

You are responsible for choosing files you have the right to process and for reviewing output before sharing or relying on it. Keep a copy of important source files.

Do not use the product to violate others’ rights or applicable law. The original video cannot be selected as the export destination.

4. Apple and third-party components

If you obtain LosslessCut through the App Store, applicable Apple terms also apply. FFmpeg and ffprobe are included under their respective open-source licenses.

5. Availability and limitations

Preview and export depend on source media, codecs, system capabilities, available disk space, and file permissions. Some files may be readable for trimming even when macOS cannot preview them.

The product is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or a particular output result.

6. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version will be posted here.
